Linda Della Donna

Griefcase Founder, Linda Della Donna

After the death of her husband, Linda Della Donna found herself alone. Freelance writer, newly-retired, and empty-nester, she turned to the internet for comfort, encouragement, and support, only to discover, at that time, there was nothing out there to help a widow missing her mate through the grief process. Deciding to fill the need herself, Della Donna created Griefcase.blogspot.com, a safe place, honoring famous widows throughout history, and welcoming into the club nobody wants to join, all widows mourning the loss of their loved one.

That was in 2005. Since then, Griefcase.blogspot.com has morphed into a Griefcase.net; Della Donna has authored more than 50 free ezine articles written especially for widows; penned a free ebook, Treasury of Quotations; hosted her own cable TV show, and interviewed widows across the globe, always with the goal of spreading her universal message to widows everywhere – we’re not alone. Della Donna likes telling people, “…And sometime when I wasn’t looking, I got a new life.” Della Donna likes what she does. Most of all, she enjoys her new life.

Currently, Della Donna is fulfilling her promise to her late husband by writing a book.
